Printing maps is simple yet powerful. To print, click the Print
icon, then press the Print button in the window that pops up. That’s all you need to know.
There are a few useful printing settings that you can change by clicking on the File menu then clicking Page Setup.
- If you turn on the Fade out background image option, the lines become easier to see.
- In the Measurements box, you have a choice of how much information you include. Choosing No measurements will cause it to only display the outline. Area will also show the area and perimeter of the shape. Area & lengths of all lines also shows the length of every line in the shape. If you only want to see the lengths of longer lines, use Area & lengths of lines (merging short lines) instead.
- If you turn off the Add disclaimer to page options, PlatSketch will no longer add the disclaimer. You can also click Edit to change what it says.
- You can also make this window always appear before printing by checking the Always show this option.
