Saving your drawings for the MLS or other website is very much like printing. To start, click Export to Image
. If you have selected part of the map, only that part will be saved.
Now you need to know what Type to use to save it.
- Use PDF if you are sending the whole page or a large piece of it. Choose the Page Size that makes sense for printing (normally Letter is best).
- Use JPG if you are sending a small piece of the map. For instance, use this if you selected the area around a parcel. For Size, put in the size you want in inches. In the Purpose, you’ll probably want to use Internet/Email.
Now you can click Save and type in a name. After you save the image, you can put it into your MLS or a website just like a snapshot from your camera.
There are also a few options that may be useful to understand.
- If you turn on the Fade out background image option, the lines become easier to see.
- In the Measurements box, you have a choice of how much information you include. Choosing No measurements will cause it to only display the outline. Area will also show the area and perimeter of the shape. Area & lengths of all lines also shows the length of every line in the shape. If you only want to see the lengths of longer lines, use Area & lengths of lines (merging short lines) instead.
- If you turn off the Add disclaimer to page options, PlatSketch will no longer add the disclaimer. You can also click Edit to change what it says.
