If you already printed your work, sent it in an email, or put in on a website, you may not need to save your work. If you think you might want to change it in the future though, saving your work as a “plat” file is good idea. A plat file is a special kind of file which holds the map, the lines you’ve drawn onto it, etc.
Click on Save
. If you were already working in a plat file, your work is now saved. If you weren’t, PlatSketch will ask you where to put the file. Ideally, you should put it where you can find it again, but there are no real restrictions!
Plat files will only open for people with PlatSketch, so print, email, and export maps for those without PlatSketch.
